The company SEMIL was founded in November 1985 with the name of Semil Indústria de Plásticos Ltda., Since the main objective was the production of plastic parts for the telephone industry and others.

Production of machined metal parts for high production has also been foreseen. Its name was derived from the joining together of the names of the two founders, Messrs Sebastião and Emilio.

In the first month it was found that it would be better to produce only machined parts. Then, from the first used automatic winch, acquired at the time, began its activities in March 1986 producing metallic pieces destined for the magnetic Brastemp washing machine, being the first client the company P. Monti, later ITP, Fonemat and others.

In November 1986, Mr. Sebastião's shareholding in the company was transferred to Mrs. Aurelita, which continues to this day.

In 1993, it moved to its own headquarters in the city of Mauá, SP, counting with a productive area of 638 m².

The first quality certification was in the year of 1999 by ISO9001, currently we are all committed and managed by the standard and through it we seek to improve the products and services provided.

In 2004 its name was changed to SEMIL METALÚRGICA LTDA., Adapting its name to the market and including Mr. Douglas in the company.

In 2013 moved to the new headquarters in Polo Industrial de Mauá - SP, counting with an area of 2,000 m².

In 2018, in order to diversify and serve new markets, it was invested in new machines (Machining Center). It also consolidated its partnership with the company Tech Assist to expand business and invest in new technologies.

Since its foundation, SEMIL has been growing steadily every year, being a small company with family management and great participation of friends and collaborators.
